This is a condition where the spine starts to fuse and can result in the spine becoming bent forward or flexed. The Social Security Administration will concentrate on the degree that the spine has become fused. X-rays or MRIs are extremely important. Also, if this condition has caused other problems, such as pain or organ damage, then this needs to be presented to the Social Security Administration. Even though this disorder affects the spine, it is generally a chronic rheumatic disorder – most of the time it causes inflammation in the spine.
