This disorder is also known as wryneck. It is caused by spasms or contractions of the neck muscles thereby causing the head to be turned to one side or tilted up or down. This can cause severe pain and prevent the person from having a proper line of sight since their eyes will be facing away from the center line of their body. This in return can create problems with walking and driving. An opinion from a neurologist may be helpful in showing the severity of this impairment. During a hearing, much of the focus will be on the pain that is associated with this disorder and the attempts at trying to alleviate the pain. A detailed history of the doctor’s perceptions and observations concerning the pain and range of motion are extremely important.
